Restaurants
You will find various dining options on Jan Thiel beach. Koko's is a relatively new place that is generally visited by people who prefer peace and space. They have delicious fresh smoothies, healthy shakes and tasty lunch dishes. Koko's is open until sunset, so after a day at Koko's you can dine at the other restaurants on Jan Thiel beach such as Zanzibar. At Zanzibar you can eat delicious freshly baked pizzas but also order a grilled chicken. The sunsets are really beautiful. And Zanzibar is known for its happy hour on Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with live music. That means enjoying an Amstel Bright, in a pleasant temperature with your feet in the sand. Next to Zanzibar you will find the Tinto restaurant, a more exclusive restaurant in a Caribbean atmosphere, located directly on the sea. Here you can have a romantic dinner and enjoy a good piece of meat or fish. At Papagayo hotel you have 2 choices for lunch or dinner. Zest Mediterranean and Zest beach cafe. The Zest beach cafe is also great with children. The children do not necessarily have to stay at the table, but can play on the beach in the meantime. Just a very relaxed atmosphere. You can think of it as a kind of picnic on the beach. At Zest Mediterraan you can enjoy more luxury and a refined menu. Still looking forward to dessert after all that delicious food? Then take a look at Dulce, very popular among children. This is located next to the beach volleyball field and you can enjoy a delicious soft ice cream. It all happens on Jan Thiel Beach This is Jan Thiel's slogan and besides the fact that you can have a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are also various activities to do. If you like a good work out, you can rent a court, rackets and balls at beach tennis Curacao to play a game of beach tennis. There is also an 'open racket night' on Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Always wanted to dive? That is also possible at Jan Thiel. At the Scuba Do Diving Center you can just walk in to discuss all the options. Definitely fun for children too! Flyboarding is a unique experience where you, as it were, fly above the water. This activity is possible from the age of 10. Zapata flyboard is located on the beach itself and flyboarding takes place directly on the bay. So if you don't want to try flyboarding yourself, it's fun just to watch it. If you prefer more relaxing activities, you can also take a boat trip from Jan Thiel beach. Blue Finn Charters and Bounty Adventures organize various boat trips such as snorkeling trips, sunset trips or a trip to Klein Curacao.

Hou je van een goede work out dan kun je bij beach tennis Curacao een baan, rackets en ballen huren om een potje beach tennis te spelen. Ook is er op de woensdagvond een ‘open racket night’ van 19:00-21:00. Altijd al willen duiken? Ook dat kan op Jan Thiel. Bij het Duikcentrum Scuba Do kun je zo even naar binnen lopen om alle mogelijkheden te bespreken. Zeker ook leuk voor kinderen! Flyboarden is een unieke ervaring waarbij je als het ware vliegt boven het water. Deze activiteit is al mogelijk vanaf 10 jaar. Zapata flyboard is gesitueerd op het strand zelf en het flyboarden gebeurt direct aan de baai. Dus mocht je zelf niet willen flyboarden dan is het ook erg leuk om alleen al naar te kijken.

Before you travel to Curacao The Digital Immigration Card It is mandatory for all international visitors to fill out the Digital Immigration Card (DI card) in order to clear immigration on Curacao. You can complete the form up to 7 days before the date of your trip. There are no Covid-19 restrictions regarding any travels to Curacao since June 5th, 2022.
Time Curacao is part of the Atlantic Standard Time -0400 UTC zone and does not have daylight savings time.
Electricity It is recommended to travel with the Type A plug which is similar to the US and the standard European plug.
Even though the most common electricity outlet is 110-130 volts AC (50 cycles), you can also find 220V outlets. A lot of hotels have extra adaptors at the reception. Adaptors can also be easily bought at different stores around the island.
Drinking Water The drinking water of Curacao comes from desalinized seawater, tap water is very safe to drink. So do not hesitate to bring your reusable bottle with you!
Shopping Hours Most of the stores are open from 9 am until 6 pm, Monday through Saturday. If you wish to go shopping between noon and 2 pm, you should first look at the store’s schedule as they might be closed during this time period to allow their staff to go on break. Most stores are closed on Sundays and on holidays but might make exceptions and open if there are cruise ships in port. Almost all shopping centers are open from 10 am until 6 pm.
Safety You will be happy to know that Curacao is a very safe island for both tourists and locals alike. While your visit to the island is most likely going to be trouble-free, just have in mind to be cautious with your valuables and not leave important belongings in your car while parked in remote places.

The property will not be occupied by more people than is noted in your reservation. We will not allow dogs, cats or other pets onto the property.
Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodations. Neither you nor your guests will use illegal drugs on the property.
You will take care not to play excessively loud music or otherwise create a nuisance to the neighbors. The estate will be clean when you arrive, and we request that you leave it in good order.
You will notify us promptly if any damage or problems that arise.
No pool-party youngsters group are permitted without parental guide.
